ムーブメントネイチャリズムの歴史
フランスでは、naturism（ネイチャリズム）という用語は、プランション(Planchon)と呼ばれるベルギー人によって、1778年に初めて使用されました。それは、自然の法則の観察をしながらより健康な生き方をしようとする彼の仕事を表現するタイトルとして使用されました。

A history of naturism
In France, the term naturism was employed for the first time in 1778, by a Belgian called Planchon.
It was used as the title of his work advocating a healthier way of life through observing the laws of Nature.
Naturism in France owes its existence to Kienn of Mongeot who founded and structured this movement in 1920 by creating the Sporta Club, the first French naturist club. In this, he was inspired by the up-bringing close to Nature that his mother instilled in him to protect him from tuberculosis.
In 1932, Doctors Andr・and Gaston Durville worked towards establishing naturism in France.
The first naturist clubs had initially been establishments for health care taking advantage of the healing properties of the sun, sea and wind.
One year later, Albert Lecoq, the future founder of the French naturist movement, founded the Gymnastic Club in the 'Nord.'
In 1949, Albert Lecoq and his wife, Christiane, created the first naturist holiday centre, the Centre Helio Marin of Montalivet (CHM) on the Atlantic coast in the Gironde.

In its official definition, naturism is 'a manner of living in harmony with Nature, characterised by the practice of common nudity, which encourages self-respect, and the respect of other people and the environment.'
A modern movement
Previously considered as a 'sociological curiosity,' naturism is today finding itself at the very heart of a deep social tendency by proclaiming the same values as those sought out by the present society.
Naturism is above all a family-oriented movement where all generations (children, parents and grandparents) get together.
Another remarkable fact in the unique character of naturism is the will to integrate Man while protecting Nature. In this way, it is the largest open-air movement in France.
